Styling for TV & Film

As part of our styling project in first year, we were asked to visualise six outfits to be worn by the characters in 'Doyle', a TV show produced by the media department at our university. We were given the brief and a section of the script to analyse, using the characters actions and dialogue to help us visualise what they would wear in each scene.

In teams we created mood boards and decided on two outfits for each character, outerwear and nightwear, based on the analysis of the script,  and then I illustrated each outfit to help envisage the final looks.

The brief required us to source one of the costumes to present to the writers along with our final mood boards. As the show is set in 1960's America, we sourced clothing from Flamingo's Vintage, a local vintage shop, to bring the character Joe to life with clothes, accessories and shoes that matched the look we imagined.
